Pre-School Toys This Christmas

There are many factors you have to think about when buying pre-school toys, firstly of course safety, then educational value is always important, entertainment and the price. There are plenty of review and information sites on the net to get real feedback from people who already own the items, this can be a set of valuable non bias opinion's to help you decide if your getting thee right gift. My personal recommendation is Amazon, they have good honest reviews, the best site layout and most of the time the best prices. Below is a selection of the most in demand presents for pre-school kids for Christmas 2009, beware that many of these items will be selling out fast, so act quick!

As always, there is a large range of tv character themed pre-school toys.

  • Waybuloo - Rapidly becoming every pre-school kids favourite, with the 4 main adorable characters, Nok Tok, YoJoJo, Lau Lau and De Li. At the moment there is actually a very small and limited range of toys and accessories for Waybuloo, considering the demand I would have thought there would be more of a selection. Be sure to grab the bears before they all sell out!
  • Peppa Pig - Continues a very successful year, Peppa Pig merchandise is everywhere and there's lots of it. Although the TV series is based around a little girl pig, Peppa has a popular younger brother called George, making the Peppa Pig range appealing to both girls and boys.
  • In The Night Garden - Still going strong, but maybe feeling the recent success of Waybuloo. Probably the largest range of toys, clothes and accessories in the shops.
  • Thomas The Tank Engine - Some how manages to stay in demand with the kids year after year. Yes Thomas and his friends have been upgraded and are looking flasher than ever, but technically still the same old tank engine we all fell in love with.
  • The Wotwots - A fairly new pre-school tv series, but already kicking up a storm with the kids. The show is based around 2 main characters, Spotty Wot and Dotty Wot. Theres currently a limited range of toys in the shop, including soft toys for Spotty and Dotty.
This year has seen a steady increase in the popularity of Tech toys for pre-school kids, with VTech and Leapfrog bring out a whole range of new cool and modern tech toys. VTech Kidizoom Digital camera has already been names as one of this years most wanted toys by various shops and newspapers and it's easy to see why. The Kidizoom does everything an adults camera does but in a nice kid friendly way, making learning about digital media exciting and hands on for children. Leapfrogs range of Leapster 2 handheld learning consoles are also very popular, with titles like Wall-E, Cars and Disney Princess capturing kids imaginations.

Hopefully my research and personal knowledge on this years hottest toys, will help you find something special for you little ones. As always, happy shopping and good luck!
